Marietta Memorial Hospital Introduces Therapeutic Hypothermia Treatment
Beginning March 1, Marietta Memorial Hospital will be offering therapeutic hypothermia treatment to specific post cardiac arrest patients. If a cardiac arrest patient’s heartbeat is restored, but the patient remains unconscious, the patient may benefit from this therapy.
Memorial Health Foundation Announces $1.1 Million Donation
The Memorial Health Foundation (MHF) today announced it has received one of the largest donations in its history, a bequest totaling approximately $1.1 million from the estate of Dorothy and Eugene Chidester. Larry Hawn, chairman of the Foundation board, announced the gift January 26 at the Memorial Health System’s annual meeting.

Memorial Health System Employee Earns Biomedical Certification
Albert Bonar, biomedical technician at Marietta Memorial Hospital, recently passed the certification offered through the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI.) Bonar has been working toward this certification for approximately three years and is now a Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET.)

The 21st Annual Teddy Bear & Doll Show & Sale, scheduled for Sunday, January 15 at the Hotel Lafayette, still has space available for exhibitors.
